IHF Men’s Super Globe 2021: Semi-final without Zamalek

The IHF Men’s Super Globe 2021 matches started in a powerful demonstration of performance.

On Tuesday, October 5, SC Magdeburg, winners of the EHF Men’s European League, qualified for the quarterfinals after a 32-20 straightforward victory over Sydney Uni of Australia; and Al-Wehda, the Saudi Arabian team, participating for the second time in the IHF Men’s Super Globe, had its clearest victory against San Francisco CalHeat 29-20 (13-6), joining the other teams already qualified for the rest of the competition. 

The quarterfinals saw a battle of 8 teams including Zamalek against defending IHF Men’s Super Globe champion Barça. After a first half tie (18:17 for Barca), the Spanish club takes the lead and qualifies for the semi-finals. The African representative will play the 5-10 place classification matches.
