During the last memorable evening in Skopje, Northern Macedonia, while the two finalists had already achieved their best ranking in the history of the World Junior Men’s Championship, Egypt won its first trophy at this competition. Egypt led throughout the match and had a comfortable lead at half-time (19:13), but Germany made a good comeback and made a tense second half.
In the end, the title was won with a four-goal win (32:28), making Egypt the first African team to win the gold medal in the competition.
Congratulations to the World Champions!
